| A
Self-Initiated project based upon the idea of deterioration. Using an internet
language known as 'leet' with famous quotes and lyrics considered embedded in our minds I have etched into copper and light sensitive plates. By using this 'throwaway' language but transposing it with famous writings and embedding them in plates I have made it so that what is written cannot deteriorate and be thrown away. |

| Under-Utilised
Space uses a combination of mathematics and photography. Using aerial shots
of car parks, I developed my own system for calculating efficiency of car parks based on a 10x10 grid. This data was then used as a basis for my own Ed Ruscha inspired photographs of car parks. The efficiency of the car park would determine how much of the photo would be shown. |

| Whatever
uses the idea of looking twice at an image. I have created a poster that
uses familiar household objects but which are placed into an unfamiliar
surrounding. For instance you can see a door handle placed upon a tree, a shower unit coming from a lamp post and fablon kitchen flooring at a bus stop. |

| Cities
and Desires influenced by the stories of Italo Calvino is an
interactive website that allows the viewer to access any part of pages 86-87
of the London A-Z. A still image and seven seconds of sound will give you a taster of any grid square in that part of London. |

| Young
bean Farmer is taken from a story about a red bean surrounded by white beans
and its struggle for freedom. I interpreted this story as an analysis of
the Russian revolution. I decided that to make the book feel part of the revolution and that it was being mass produced cheaply that I would cut and stick the book jacket myself. Every element was to appear as though it was produced by hand. So this is not a single print out, but every element is built up over many many layers of paper to achieve the desired effect. |

| A
straight cut a blind habit is the story of a doctor who performs illegal
surgery for a high price. I decided with this book to create a very sterile
look to the front cover but to have an element that could be felt, almost as a surprise to the viewer. A single strip of tape that appears part of the photo is actually real. I wanted the cover to give an indication of the storyline, in that the doctor has done wrong and the tape is covering up the mistake. |

| Metro,
Petro, Neuro, Psycho is a tale about a man obssessed with the everyday.
When something alternative takes place he becomes angry and frantic, I wanted
to represent this in the book cover itself. By producing two seperate covers, one on paper and one on acetate and placing them over one another I have created the illusion that what is written and the images you see are not clear. The mirror on the fromt of the book questioning you and what you see. |

| Dreamweaver
is the story of constant change and the ability to shape the change yourself.
To illustrate this I wanted to create a book jacket that constantly changed depending on how you held it. I placed ink inside two sheets of acetate and stuck them together, this meant that every time the book was moved the ink would change direction. Enabling you to change your image whenever you wanted. |

Bockting is a poster for a talk given at the London College of Communication.
I felt that as the talk was due to be about the creative use of paper that
it should make use of recycled paper. |

Wallis was a british inventor who is probably best known for his invention
of the bouncing bomb during the second world war. I was asked to create
a series of 10 images that would reflect Wallis and his work without directly referencing anything specific. Sign, Signifier and Symbol. |

| This
manifesto was wriiten as a response to a governemtal party manisfesto. It
uses the ideas and principles of these parties but applies them to the design
world. I wanted the imagery to support the ideas brought forward in the text, so produced all the imagery with this in mind. |

| 6
steps to dog walking is, like it says a collection of six photographs that
signify the act of dog walking. Instead of using any images of a dog, I
tried to tie it in closely with the physicalities of dog walking. The wool of the gloves, the steel of the chain, the leather of the lead. |

| Keep

given piece of text, all printed out on one sheet of A4 and using nothing
but a photocopier our small group had to resize, re design and give hierarchy to a poster of our design. |

| Personal
Geographys is a poster reflecting, the moods of a person through the gestures
they perform. Such as clenching a fist to hide aspects of their personality. The person who I was asked to design hid his selfish side behind his approachable manor. I decided to make the skin appear contoured as if the hand told all of the personality. |
